End of October

The door leading to the basement is painted and re-installed with a new handle set. The bathroom door has been painted and is currently sitting on saw horses in basement, awaiting new hardware and re-installation tonight. Old and new Closet door, and door to the den are in the basement for trimming and painting.

Living room baseboards on west side of the room and the section between the vestibule and stairs are painted. vestibule door frame is painted. Mouldings stained and ready for trimming and installation.

The Den has been rearranged allowing the recliner which has resided in the kitchen for so long to be moved into the den. 

Placed some Storm windows in place and picked up plastic window insulation for the crank out windows.

With the recliner removed, a little more work and the kitchen will actually be a kitchen again.

Outside door and window still require painting.

New stuff

The new door for the kitchen broom closet was delivered to the house today and yesterday I picked up the rest of the baseboard mouldings for the living room. Tonight I will be doing some staining, Tomorrow, I'll be painting the four doors for the kitchen and hall.

I also determined that the second recliner is too big and not maneuverable enough to be used in the Living room, So today I ordered a swivel Tub Chair. The Recliner will go in the den along with the stone inlay coffee table. The new Television stand is in my trunk and the 46" Samsung LED TV is in it's box in the living room.

I am also having second thoughts about the dining room, I bought two dinner tables, one for the kitchen and one for the dinning room, I am thinking about taking one apart and storing it, and either having a tableless open kitchen (perhaps an island), or turning the dining room into a open area sun room, Just some chairs so sit in and relax. Later perhaps (as in someday) changing out a window and put in a sliding door and an outside porch on the south and east corner of the house.
