New floor

One quick glance at the walls and cabinets should tell you why I would have rather waited on the floor until the rest of the room was finished. 

the ceiling, walls, counter tops, stove, pots, pans, cabinets, handles, etc etc etc, have a sticky nasty coat of grease on them from years of cooking without a "working" exhaust hood.  Some of the paint on teh upper cabinets was so impregnated the paint rolled up into little slimy paint balls when you tried to wash them.
